ScholarEdge was founded to support the work that educators already do with college-bound students. ScholarEdge founder Jason Lum shows students and parents strategies for finding more information about colleges, where to uncover unadvertised scholarship opportunities, how to complete college applications and scholarship forms, and what works and what doesn't when competing for scholarship money.

Especially regarding college funding, rarely are students offered the opportunity to learn about scholarships from actual former students who have won large amounts of scholarship money. They are more likely to apply for scholarships if they gain the knowledge of someone who has experienced success.

Specialized seminars for students

Let ScholarEdge create a program that builds on your college or graduate school preparation classes. We'll develop courses and seminars that introduce students to the world of scholarships, fellowships and grants. We'll teach the different types of funds available, where to locate hard-to-find scholarships, how to develop a winning application and how to plan for the years ahead. We will also add to your college advising program by providing parents and students with information from Jason Lum, who worked in the Harvard Admissions office and recruits students for a US News & World Report "Top 20" university.

ScholarEdge faculty workshops

We can create specially-designed programs to give your faculty the tools to promote scholarship applications, and will work with your guidance staff to provide additional insights into the application process. We'll share our knowledge with career counselors, academic advisors and other instructors through valuable workshops where they can add to their current curriculum and empower students to take charge of their educational futures.

On-site office hours

Jason Lum can provide on-site, regular office hours for students seeking assistance with their college applications or scholarship forms. This service can be of great value especially during peak months of college application season, and can equip students with additional information to bolster their applications.
